Sides - Heating Guide
Reheating Instructions for Thanksgiving Sides
Enjoy Dream Legacy BBQ quality—right at home.
Our sides are prepared fresh, chilled, and packaged to reheat gently so the flavors stay rich and the texture stays perfect. Please follow the steps below for best results.
General Tips
- Keep all items refrigerated until you’re ready to reheat.
- Remove all plastic lids or cold-packaging before reheating.
- For best results, reheat low and slow. High heat can cause sides—especially dairy-based ones—to separate.
- All reheating times may vary based on your oven and portion size.
Macaroni & Cheese
Oven (Recommended)
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Transfer mac & cheese to an oven-safe dish (if not already in one).
- Add 1–2 tablespoons of milk or cream to restore creaminess.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Heat for 20–30 minutes, stirring halfway if possible.
- Remove foil for the last 5 minutes if you want a light crust.
- Warm until just hot—avoid bubbling to prevent overcooking.
Microwave
- Place mac & cheese in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Add 1 tablespoon of milk or cream.
- Cover loosely.
- Heat in 30–45 sec intervals, stirring each time, until warm.
- Do not overheat—stop when it’s hot but not boiling.
Cream Corn
Stovetop (Recommended)
- Pour into a small pot on low heat.
- Add 1–2 tablespoons of milk, cream, or butter.
- Warm gently, stirring often, for 5–8 minutes.
- Do not let it simmer or boil—this can cause separation.
Microwave
- Transfer to a microwave-safe bowl.
- Cover loosely.
- Heat in 30–45 sec intervals, stirring each time.
Stop once hot; avoid boiling.
Sweet Potato Mash
Oven (Recommended)
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Place mash in an oven-safe dish.
- Add 1–2 tablespoons of butter or a splash of cream if you prefer a looser consistency.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Warm for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway if possible.
Microwave
- Place mash in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Cover loosely.
- Heat in 45 sec intervals, stirring between each.
- Stop when heated through.
Serving Note
All sides will reheat best when warmed gently. If they seem too thick, simply stir in a small amount of milk, cream, or butter to bring them back to life.
